@thegibson @maddiefuzz @Taweret By the back half of the ‘90s that stuff had been driven out by fluffier pop, though. Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, etc etc etc. And little retro micro-fads like the swing revival and third wave ska.
So I’m willing to give them half a point on this one. You can kind of understand them if you close the eye that sees everything that happened before 1996
