Kitty Jack threw up today lots of times.

@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek I hope it is something really minor and trivial.

@nomad @IamMrsGeek Thank you. He's had this problem to varying degrees since a kitten. Prior vet found nothing of interest. Perhaps this one will do better.

Vet provided fluids, anti-nausea meds, and a promise to check back in a couple of days. And then for the cat, they suggest –
anyways doing little steps per current budget but fluids and the medication seems to have brightened Jack up a bit.
-
@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek oh no! I hope he feels better soon!
-
@m @IamMrsGeek thanks! Me too.

No improvement from Jack since getting him home from the vet (he hasn't been throwing up which is good, but he also hasn't been eating, drinking, or moving around much, which is not good) so @IamMrsGeek is taking him in again for more fluids and next tier of examinations.
I've finally learned what "anxious" looks like from Jack's brother Barry. He knocked my laptop off its stand twice trying to get drive-by skritches.
-
A dang hairball? Okay, a giant hairball. A two inch hairball stuck in Jack's gut. @IamMrsGeek called and got the update.
We'll have a big bill and a recovering cat probably tomorrow.

@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek Oh, I am so glad to hear that!
(Well, I'm not glad it happened but I am glad it's almost over and the result will be ok.)

@randomgeek @IamMrsGeek ugh, glad it got diagnosed though. The ol not eating/drinking/moving (regardless of whether anything is also coming up) is never, ever a good sign and I’m honestly surprised the first visit focused purely on the vomiting angle.

@bitprophet @IamMrsGeek first visit it had only been since breakfast. Requesting fluid check was because throwing up that many times in one day can’t be good for you.
Had to cross fingers and postpone escalation until we had some ideas about how to pay for it.
