But I'm asking with less than 12 hours before I need the information: what's a good straightforward way to download music from (idc: YouTube, Spotify free, or some other source I can access on my phone) before traveling so that I don't get into the air and go "Oh yeah shit spotify doesn't stream with no internet" again

@muggle I recommend soulseek. Super easy to download music, and explore other people's libraries.
Searching and downloading music is really easy. The downside is that you have to know exactly what you're looking for, and sometimes artist/album/song names with special characters or punctuation can be hard to find.
There's usually FLAC and MP3 of various qualities available.
