I'm sad that a site has failed that brought so many people joy. I'm never, ever going to take joy in someone's failure or the fact that a bunch of people now need to find work.

I can muse on whether it was a mistake to lock away source code for funding, and wonder if - had it been able to be open-sourced - it could have been a longer-maintained project.
And I can wish that I hadn't had a bad experience with a few folk on the platform that meant I didn't feel comfortable there personally. Because it really did seem cool.
But that takes nothing from the fact that a bunch of users are feeling down that their favourite hangout spot is closing. I'm sorry for you all - and for the devs - and this sucks.
The internet lost something that gave people joy today. I wish the web were better.
