I had my (new) motorbike battery out of the bike for a while because I wasn't riding it, and put it on a charger. At some point I unplugged the charger from the wall and forgot to plug it back in. Now the battery is completely dead (2.4V) - the unplugged charger has completely discharged the battery.
I've got the battery trickle charging on a bench power supply - what are my chances of recovering any usable capacity? The proper charger should be able to do desulphating (once the voltage is high enough for it to decide to charge the battery)

@gbrnt of course you ride a motorbike. It's like every layer of the onion you peel back just reveals even more cool shit you do.

@kestral oh no, I have a motorbike in my garage that I occasionally replace parts on and tell myself I'm going to ride when the weather is nice
