Loops isn't like other fediverse platforms.

@kalisz79 How so?
I think its pretty cool to have such a trusted and established developer like myself to steward and manage an initiative like this.
What is your idea of the "fedi attitude" and how can I improve this?
My goal is to build a federated TikTok alternative, and others have tried, but none have surpassed the amount of users we have in such a short time.
I hope you respond with feedback, and look forward to resolving your concerns!
We're in this together, and I need your help!

@dansup if that's the approach you're thinking of taking, AT might well be a better fit than ActivityPub -- a Relay could support multiple Loops AppViews.

@dansup Have you seen this project by Mastodon? https://www.fediscovery.org I think there are various projects in the works (Fediscovery, your thing for Loops, I've seen @thisismissem discuss ideas for cross-instance media deduplication) that are very vaguely shaped like ATproto relays. Work on global-ish content sharing (only for those who want to be part of it ofc) is pretty clearly wanted by many, especially operators of big servers who are affected by the lack of it.

@dansup Soap box: I'm not heavily opinionated on protocols, but is there a path of long-term convergence for AP and AT?
The AP-verse is realizing that global aggregation of intended-as-public stuff is helpful, but it has to work around/exist next to the protocol.
Bluesky realized that people want non-public messaging, but it had to work around/exist next to the protocol.
Is it possible to have a standard that can do both things well?

@bnewbold @julian @dansup I think you may want to define some common shared lexicons kind of like what we have with the AS2 Vocabulary's object types.
There's not really a reason a microblogging post _has to_ be owned by Bluesky, more so than any other microblogging software that may get built on AT.
