Watching a review of chefs doing a ‘blind’ tasting of different instant ramens, and someone says ‘this tastes healthy in a not so good way’ I knew right away it was the Trader Joe’s one (most of their ‘east Asian’ stuff is like ‘let’s make something in...

@Lyle like their off brand versions of junk food.. too much sodium to be healthy, too tasteless to compete with the actual thing
-
@skinnylatte and slap a vaguely racist name like "Trader Ming's" on it for good measure!
-
@dan oh lord. Yeah. So bad

I know people have a classist thing about instant ramen, but there’s a whole world of instant ramen ranging from meh to ‘probably better than a fancy ramen in your small city’

-
@petrillic sigh, I miss (good) expensive Chinese food
-
@skinnylatte hmm this is making me hungry for ramen...
-
@douglasvb if you’re ever in San Jose, I’m a fan of Ramen Nagi

@StevenSavage @douglasvb I like the green ramen. It’s very unique. Their vegan ramens are also astonishingly good
