Idk maybe I can do tall monitor
-
@mattly I love my LG DualUp https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg-28mq780-b-dualup-monitor
-
@jc00ke yeah, I’ve seen that, kinda wish it had been an option when I got this thing, though mine does have a built-in KVM which is nice
it’s weird that in their marketing materials, only the “For Designers” image shows that it’s actually one screen and not artificially divided in half
-
@jc00ke glad to hear you like it though, it’d be hard to justify the purchase right now but I’m gonna keep it in mind
-
@jc00ke actually how tall is the screen without the stand? that’s not listed on their site
-
@mattly oh for sure. I don't think I would have bought one on my own; $company bought it.
-
@mattly speaking of KVMs, do you know of a cross-platfform software based one? I may have to work to do some of my work on Windows soon I think my Logitech kb will switch but would want v & m too.

@mattly https://www.logitech.com/en-us/ergo/k860-features.920-009166.html
"Connect to up to 3 devices and easily switch between them with the touch of a button" I'll have to give this a try and figure out video.
-
@jc00ke I don’t; I have heard of someone who’s got some sort of QMK hardware macro which talks to both a USB & HDMI switch but I haven’t looked into things beyond this
-
@mattly hmm, OK, I can do some searching. Thanks! I remember you mentioning QMK before.
-
@jc00ke I think their multi-device thing is more of a bluetooth multi-pairing thing, I tried this with a different Logitech board at one point
-
@mattly hmm probably don't want that. I avoid BT on Linux like the plague.
-
@jc00ke s/on Linux// and same
(except for airpods, the ipad pro keyboard, apple pencil, & carplay which *use* bluetooth but are so seamless otherwise that it’s not an issue)
-
@mattly haha you are not wrong. My best BT experience is on Android and even then it's not great. I wish it were as good as Apple's.
