I am trying to convince my spouse that this should be our next car but so far the only point she has conceded is that it's less ugly than a Cybertruck

@mattdm "And thanks to a midgate, the MT1 can fit 4-by-8-foot sheets of plywood,". That's better than some current full size pickups.
-
"Look at that pragmatic design! The doors come pre-dented!"
-
And seriously, there's nothing close to that size and price with a 350 mile range!

@mattdm I'd grab an SUV version. We roadtrip with our dog and it'd be nice for her to have a bit of space (versus my current coupe or my wife's sedan).

In seriousness if they made a compact SUV / hatchback version, that'd be perfect for us.

@mattdm @jalefkowit It would be super cool if the article linked to the manufacturer’s website but apparently they only want to link to themselves.
I hate “journalists” who hand out homework.
But I’m super interested in the truck, despite the bad journalism. So thank you for sharing. This could be a Kei-truck for the new EV world.

@mattdm oh is she here?
IT'S BEAUTIFUL AND FOR A FRACTION OF THE PRICE. IT ONLY NEEDS A FEDORA STICKER.

Here's the link
I picked the article because the manufacturer's site is kind of crap about providing an actual specific "what are we actually talking about here?" url.

@mattdm Hey, to be fair we moved the dent forward in the latest design to look more like what it is (a vent)
-
Ooh - are you actually involved in making it?
I think, really, the main visual problem I have is the "face". Weird whisker things instead of eyes, and no smile.
But I have real questions too! How will the canopy cover work? And what about crash safety?
