Why do scandal and tragedy tend to go more viral than heartwarming tales if most human interactions are positive? It's because fear, not warmth, grabs our attention more, hence it's what sells and attracts clicks and views. Fear brings money.

Surprisingly, I found a reflection of my previous thoughts (or maybe is selective vision? nah! is fate) in it - the media's relentless focus on the worst of humanity. Something we've all noted and we discuss but we rarely offer solutions. It triggers a loop where fear dominates the narrative.

So, this weekend I created *The Bright Side* bot
on Mastodon (soon also in xitter). Using #dotnet and #AI, it curates and publishes micro blogging threads with feel-good stories. It's a small attempt to inject hope into social media feeds and counterbalance negativity.

Next time you're caught in a negative news spiral, seek out stories that lift you up. Share them. There's so much good waiting to be recognized! In a world where fear sells, let's be the ones spreading hope, because generosity can be just as infectious as fear.
