“The 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 will be the first non-Tesla vehicle sold in the United States with the Tesla-style NACS charging port. This means all Ioniq 5s starting in 2025 will have unrestricted access to all 17,000 Superchargers across the country, while still being sold with a CCS-style charger adapter to allow them to also charge at non-Tesla public chargers.”

@jalefkowit maybe Tesla only lets you use their chargers if the cars are ugly
-
@skinnylatte I have always preferred the more sedan-like look of the Ioniq 6, but I recognize that at this point saying that is just me standing up and saying "hey everybody come gawk at the old man"
-
@jalefkowit oh I didn’t know they had the 6. That looks so much better to me than anything that looks like an SUV
-
@skinnylatte Oh yeah! More info here.
-
@jalefkowit @skinnylatte I kinda like the hatchback look of the ioniq 5. I was all about hatches when I was young. Heck, I still really like them.
The “off-road” one does not look great, though.
-
@lkanies @jalefkowit yeah I like the 5 but not the one with the trim
-
@skinnylatte @jalefkowit yeah, makes sense to me. If I had ski bums for kids I might be tempted. But I do not.
