I have to admit it's hard to maintain sympathy for people who spew that kind of nonsense. I just have to keep reminding myself that they are not the root cause. There are powerful people with a strong interest in keeping them ignorant.

JFC. Someone posted a recording purporting to be of them asking Alexa how much damage was done by Milton and how many people died and getting the response that Milton caused $21.3B in damage and killed 262 people. The implication seems to be that the government is just going to make up numbers and those made-up numbers are already known?
The weird thing is that Alexa doesn't appear to already use an LLM. Maybe this person is in some test group? Or maybe they're just lying.

@freakazoid Does Alexa do web searches? In that case, even if it isn't an LLM, it might be getting its info from one.
