There is a serious ideological rift that is widening, I think (between capital / execs / boosters, and workers)

These days? They've always been Randroids and the like. Listen to any generation of them over the decades and you always hear the same ideologies, even from people like Aaron Swartz who some people still lionize -

Jobs had two things going for him that, in general, these guys don’t:He actually cared about the products the companies made and he had taste (the Mossberg interview with him and Gates is quite a moment).
Scaringe (Rivian) might have those qualities, but I’m not sure yet. No one else comes to mind.
