@SnoopJ IIRC, most 2600 cartridges held 4KB. Updating the 2600+ firmware requires downloading a 59MB ZIP file

@vivianshadows From what I hear, if you want to play Atari 2600 carts on a modern TV, the 2600+ is a pretty good option.
(And if you have any 7800 carts lying around, it'll play those too. You don't have to wait for the upcoming 7800+.)
