Dear #Fediverse, is there something #Pixelfed does which #Mastodon does not?
It seems like it's just a different UI + filtering out all ActivityPub posts that don't contain images?
Do I have that right? Is there some additional functionality/feature that I'm missing?

@skullvalanche yeah there are a few features that are unique to Pixelfed, like ephemeral Stories and portfolios

If things are reversed, and I follow pixelfed accounts from Mastodon, do those types of posts show up? or are they kinda "pixelfed exclusives" ?

@skullvalanche mastodon supports showing pixelfed posts mostly but they don't show all of the data. for instance you can set a location for where a photo was taken on pixelfed and you cant see that viewed from mastodon but you can from other places like Streams and Hubzilla. I don't think any other fedi thing supports pixelfeds "ephemeral stories" yet, but they could add support for it if it was better documented. I hope to see Peertube at least add support for some of Pixelfed's video features
