Send leads on apartments in NL within 2 hours transit to Amsterdam?
-
@jurjen_heeck when was the last time you were in the market for a home or apartment in NL?
-
@[email protected] I live in Emmen which is technically speaking just barely within 2 hours of driving of Amsterdam on a good day.
Rent is relatively cheap here and housing is available but then again nobody wants to live here. -
@[email protected] Maybe have a look: https://www.start-box.nl/woningaanbod/huur
But you probably consider it too far away. -
@SuperDicq thx, will look
-
@drewdevault yeah, it's horrible.
I'm not sure how wide you're casting your net, but a place like Assen has a 1 hour 45 minute train transit to Amsterdam, and should have slightly more sane housing prices.
It's pretty far outside the Randstad though.

@ashtardeza starting to look at Antwerp and... wow, it's much better
-
@drewdevault @ashtardeza It is really incredible that you jave trouble finding stuff within 2 hours of Amsterdam, considering that covers almost every city in NL. I guess it really does show how fucked up it is for our northern neighbours. (Belgian here)
-
@RedFreljordian @ashtardeza actually looking into Antwerp for this reason
-
That is MENTAL

@drewdevault Hoorn and Enkhuizen are within thirty minutes and an hour of Amsterdam respectively (despite actually being a far away, the train is pretty fast).
I heard a few folks say that buying with a mortgage is easier than renting in this country and I have to say they weren't kidding. And your mortgage might even be lower than rent.
