To echo Michelle Barker’s earlier posts, HTML is hard.
I’ve been saying it for years but often people don’t believe it. Why would they, when you could technically throw together a bunch of divs, slap some CSS and JS on them, and make a page look good.
(Where looking good is in no way a measurement of the quality of a web page.)

That’s @michelle if you want to read more.

@mahryekuh if it was easy, why do even have CMSes?
-
@eloy CMS'es with WYSIWYG editors aren't particularly great at the intricacies of HTML, but they fit the need well enough.
Personally, I find it easier to type simple HTML tags than highlight a bit of text and press a button or create new blocks in a system, but to each their own.

@mahryekuh my point was more that if the intricacies of HTML were easy, we would not need these editors
so the existence of them proves people wrong who say HTML is easy

@mahryekuh usually I switch between manual typing and clicking buttons depending on my mood

@mahryekuh this is why I dare NOT call myself "web developer" ever. Once basic HTML started practically requiring things like CSS and javascript, I was out.
HTML wasn't always hard; it became a complicated mess over time.

@yakkoj Web developer I’m fine with, but I am allergic to “full stack developer”. I would also argue that some people are “only” React developers.
