Cats are always depicted as independent and uncaring. They will be fine no matter what..
Recently I read a researcher describe them as quite fragile: bound to territory and routine.
And our cat gets depressed for a week when we go on vacation.

@faassen Cats are not unfeeling, but some people make the mistake of assuming their emotions work similarly to human’s.
Ours have lots of routines too, and it helped to learn the basics of cat communication, and also to learn their individual personalities.
