"At a rally this evening near Green Bay, Wisconsin, Trump said his team had advised him to stop talking about how he was going to protect women by ending crime and making sure they don’t have to be 'thinking about abortion.”'

"Donald Trump, mind you, has been found civilly responsible for rape. He has been accused by multiple women of rape (including his ex-wife Ivana), of sexual assault, of groping. He has bragged about grabbing women by the pussy without asking. He has bragged about being the reason Dobbs was overturned. Because he is the reason Dobbs was overturned."

"He is the reason women in many states are being forced to have children against their will & cannot get treatment for their miscarriages. Every woman that dies or has her reproductive future decimated because of those laws is his fault. And he will make it worse because regardless of what he says now, he will absolutely use the Comstock laws to make it illegal to mail anything to do with abortion.
No one needs protection by him, but we sure as hell need protection from him."
-
If possible we need a lawyer group to sue those states. I'd donate, for sure.
The only think these states will understand is getting sued fior tens of millions.

@wdlindsy When do you think Trump last opened a car door for himself? I bet his security detail opens his private bathroom door for him. He doesn't even open kitchen cabinet doors. He's most at home getting in and out of a golf cart... why? You guessed it: no doors.

"In the last two days, you may have noticed a strange uptick in right-wing commentators talking about Harris’s 'attack' on the 'sanctity of marriage.' There’s been a bit of a buzz about conservative white women voting for Harris secretly — breaking with their faith communities and perhaps even their husbands to cast a vote against Donald Trump."

"FOX News has been losing their collective minds over the ad [by at Vote Common Good telling women they have a right to vote for whom they choose without their husbands instructing them] — accusing Harris of encouraging women to lie to their spouses and equating the wives who vote for Harris with those who commit adultery."

Who knew the secret ballot was an attack on the sanctity of marriage. Women deserve the right to vote but it should exercised by ther husbands (or fathers) as god intended.

The reason they hate it so much is that they are looking at the early voting data which has women crushing men in early turnout and the polling they are doing shows a lot of crossover of Republican women. If it keeps going like this Trump is toast, so they are freaking out.

@mastodonmigration You are exactly right about what's fueling their freakout. Thanks for the better link. I'll use that one, instead.

@wdlindsy funny, I was just now thinking the exact same thing in reverse. If I was in the US, and my husband/bf voted Trump, I would be out of there. They obviously would not be prioritising my well-being. We would not be a team, he would not have my back. I would not feel safe with them any more.
-
@wdlindsy I thought that Harris ad was an homage to a 2016 Trump ad where the tag line was something to the effect of “no one needs to know who you voted for”. Can’t find it now, maybe I’m misremembering

It would be entertaining to watch if the stakes weren't so high.

Sorry, Fox and asshat conservatives, women have a right to think for themselves. Fuck all the way off with your nonsense.

@wdlindsy Well yes. Why do you think earlier generations of feminists and other assorted radicals wanted to abolish the marriage relation period?
