I like coffee Kev (subscribed to his channel), but WiFi and firmware updates are not always desirable... Just ask the WiFi-enabled HP printer owners. Even though I understand the point for a machine of this type, wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole myself

Also I kind of sideways asked breville if the machine calls back to home, AKA breville headquarters and shares information about the machine with them, and they were coy in the answer. I will press the issue however. I imagine it probably shares some data if you are having issues with the machine but even that I wasn't able to confirm.

That said, I think a big mistake on the other touch machines from breville is that they don't have firmware updates available. Because a few of them need it.
