@coffeegeek I'm super tired of cheap shitty plastic and useless electronics for the sake of it. If longevity, solid build, and repairability are just as important as the quality of what ends up in the cup, do you think the Silvia V6 is the right choice?

Also considering the Sette 270Wi. It is as good as they say? Does it really need a shim for espresso?
Thanks in advance!

@apicultor These days, I think I'd pick the Lelit machines over the Silvia. Similar build quality, but with more features and PID. The Anna II is cheaper than the Silvia, and I am really liking the Victoria (content coming about that machine soon).
The Victoria is quite overlooked, but a contender:
Here's why I like it:
Advanced PID controls
58mm PF
IMS Baskets
Pressure Gauge
Really good steam ability
Water filter system
User controlled preinfusionSilvia lacks PID, better baskets, water filter, pressure gauge, etc.

@coffeegeek Ooh, excellent recommendation, thank you! Do you think it's better than the Profitec Go?
-
@apicultor yup. In fact I will have an intro article about the Victoria up on CoffeeGeek tomorrow, I hope.

@coffeegeek I can't wait! Thanks!
I'm also considering the Sette 270Wi. I didn't find anything about it on your site, but is it as good as many say it is? Does it really need a burr shim for espresso?

@apicultor No on shim. While we don't review the Sette 270Wi (I had. slight conflict of interest, as I was involved in its development, barely), It is our "lab spec" grinder and written up here (scroll down to "the grinder"
