We cracked $400 this month on our Amazon income, a kind of necessary evil for websites like mine. I think a lot of that commission income came from folks right here in the #fediverse, so thank you.
We could be making a lot more from Amazon, but I try to go low key with the linkage. Still, the income we do generate pays for up to 10 content articles on CoffeeGeek, so it means a lot!
If you are shopping on Amazon, check out my webstore there. Pretty much 100% of what we make from those commissions go to my blog contributors.
-
Also to be clear - the Amazon income covers the cost for up to 10 content articles A MONTh, which is really good for our readers. We are trying to present a wide and diverse set of content on CoffeeGeek, everything from true beginner content to very advanced, high end coffee geekery.

@coffeegeek drop me an Amazon affiliate link for your overall best grinder and I’ll buy it this weekend. Today I’m using the grinder attached to my breville. But I want to upgrade to the best. Please and thank you.

@rademaker What's your budget? Do you want it to be a true multipurpose, or espresso focused (while still being able to do a decent job for drip, etc)?
-
@rademaker For instance, for mainly espresso performance, I still think the Sette 270Wi is the best overall grinder under $1K, if you can tolerate its noise:
But, not a great multipupurpose grinder (gets the job done up to pour over, that's it)
The MiiCoffee D40+ is a great entry point espresso primary that does a better job at drip:
The Fellow Opus is plastic all over, but better as a multipurpose grinder and under $200
The Vario+ is, IMO, better as a multipurpose, flat burr grinder for multipurpose than the DF64 Gen 2 is,
Or get it with the scale:
https://amzn.to/3TYPr2zFor hand grinders, the 1Zpresso J Ultra is considered by most to the best manual espresso grinder available today (also does drip no problems)
And lastly, the DF64 Gen 2 is probably the best grinder introduced in 2023 (espresso primary). Not an amazon link:
-
@coffeegeek budget? I just want the best. No budget requirements.
-
@rademaker If you can tolerate its noise (not a huge issue, since it is also lightning fast), the Sette 270Wi is the one to go for then. Plus after sales service / repairs / resale value / etc is exceptional. I put the link in the other post to you.
If you're curious - this is our standard test machine when we review other grinders; I wrote it up here in detail as to why (scroll down to "The Grinder" if you don't want to read it all)
