had to take little miss murder mittens to the emergency vet last night and we stayed there for... ... ... I dunno. A long time. 7? 8? hours? and didn't get home till like... 3? 4 AM? I dunno, things are hazy. It's good we went. She definitely has a UTI and her liver tests are... not good. She's lost a lot of weight.
So it's very cool this is election week. I'm much much too tired to do the job hunting I was planning on today since I can barely think.
Bleh. Hopefully I'll be able to visit the store at least and stock up on a few essentials... because just in case!
It's so fucked up that the entire goddamn world has to watch in anxiety about this stupid fucking election. I say stupid because we all deserve infinitely better than this. -
It's debatable that I'm even staying in tech, although my job prospects are not good (I have a skillset very well adapted to the absolute worst of the industry) regardless of who obtains power come January, but I am definitely not staying in tech if Trump wins.

@aud sorry about Miss Murder Mittens, glad you got her checked out. Hopefully a good prognosis after treatment?

@[email protected] well... it's still a lot of unknowns, unfortunately. We'll have to see how she responds to the antibiotics. So we'll try and get her in with a vet in about two weeks, which is more or less when the course will have run, and then re-check her levels.
In the meantime, they've given her an anti-emetic and some painkillers, so hopefully she'll throw up less. The painkiller is definitely helping.
She's... a struggle to get medicine into though. 2 PM is when her next dose is. I will probably be bleeding more after that
