So the game has tribes, which are flavours of human looking entities with various animal/fantastical/daemonic/angelic/etc parts attached, and so the game has loads of fantasy racism, which seems to be treated well so far.
One interesting thing is that your adorable fairy companion (who will, for the record, gently glide towards your shoulder and sit on it when you're not doing anything) enchants your sword so that you can hop on it like a skateboard and get around faster. This is nice!
But also, similar to Persona, NPCs will chatter in the background and you'll see little dialogue bubbles pop up. If you're hoverswording around on your enchanted sword, some of them will see you and go, "Oh, I guess that's how {your player's tribe/race} gets around." Which is such a perfect little mirror of how this shit works in the real world; when a minority does X, bigots look at it and assume that's how every minority does it rather than it just being... you.
Like, no, the only person in the game world that is capable of doing this is you, with this specific sword, with this specific fairy companion. It's not a thing anyone can do. But.
