Finally getting around to setting up WordPress on my server. Ghost is nice and simple but I think it's sort of aimed at a different kind of... thing than what I want.

@aud curious to hear what you think they're aiming for. i was hoping it was the solution for me but it seems more 'i'm trying to generate an audience i can sell my publication to' rather than 'i want a place to share my ideas and if someone reads them then cool'. i might go back to micro.blog or stick with my original plan of hard-coding into a codeberg repository

@[email protected] literally that: it seemed very focused on people who want to build an audience and generate cash in some respect. Nothing wrong with that, but… I just want exactly what you want out of it, I think. So our experience very much is the same.
Like the admin/author dashboard has a place for you to check out other big ghost publications. It’s just not quite what I’m looking for.
