one very simple thing i never see discussed enough by trans women:
if you do shave your entire body, you simply MUST learn how to shave the autoandrophile way
by which i mean: double-edged safety razor + shaving soap + shaving brush
yes, i understand it could be super dysphoria inducing to use something that’s so heavily masculine-coded, but your budget will thank you
if you compare with buying pink disposables that become blunt in two uses and canned gloop, yeag, you quickly learn to accept that the money saved is gender-affirming lol
not only products for women are pretty much just the same as products for men with a surcharge… your follicles probably don’t work the way a standard reference cisgenderist’s works, so you might as well try out something different
it takes a while to discover what type of shaving head and what type of razor blades work best on your body and face (might even want different combos for each) but it’s so worth it. i’ve come to like aggressive slanted heads and shark brand blades but what works is different for everyone
a good brush and a good razor are a bit expensive but they last you forever. pots of shaving soap cost 5x as much as a can of foam, but last you 30x longer. blades are absurdly cheap, like €0.10/blade cheap
there’s not much to the technique, either. just use less pressure than disposables and figure out the proper angle, that’s all
grab a calculator and do the math
