@nago very cool!
-
@foone too perfectionist and it took forever to get a clean baseline "extract" cli command is next to re-add from the development spaghetti branch, but the code is up there on the devel branch.
-
@nago cool! I'm gonna look at it when I get near a computer. I've tried to extract characters before, so it's great to see someone finally figured it out
-
@foone PRs welcome, hehe. the holdup for an extract cli tool is that it's not clear for avatars with separate heads and bodies how many combinations are "legal" and while it's valid to extract *all* combinations I wanted that to be an option and not the default but getting at individual frames in the REPL should be easy and hopefully the code has lots and lots of comments. happy to answer questions anytime!

@foone I also wanna make a pixel perfect comic renderer but I'm not exactly sure what transformations get applied to the backgrounds and how avatars are scaled etc so it's more of a "someday" project atm. if you can suggest a good RE tool for old win95/98 programs that show library function names I think it'd help. i use ida free atm but it leaves a lot to be desired

@nago ghidra is pretty good in my experience.
