So! I need to switch instances since octodon is shutting down soonish. The irony is, I'm not a great (sys)admin, mainly/especially too busy to keep up. I'd like to go to an instance that can handle, ahem, "queen of the fediverse" levels of interactions, has nice people, is reasonably well moderated.

Suggestions? Maybe even your own instance! Thanks!

Some time we had also been talking with @liaizon et al. about sharing hosting efforts for autonomous.zone, which seems to be here to stay.

Also mastodon.sdf.org from http://sdf.org/ seems here to stay.

@yala @cwebber @milan @liaizon if you'd like to be part of a friendly instance that's cooperatively run, we'd be happy to have you over at @SocialCoop! Speaking only with my mod hat on, I believe we can handle the extra load (but maybe the tech team will be mad at me for saying so!)

Since we're cooperatively run we require a small contribution each month on a sliding scale depending on what you can afford (most people pay 1 USD or GBP). But you also get to be a part of governance (if you want)!
