And it’s a wrap for my first (EPIC) day at #FOSDEM.

It’s hard to put into words how incredible - and energizing - it feels to be around the creators of the #ActivityPub protocol, founders of #Fediverse software, admins of popular instances and developers of tools I use every day.

I took the opportunity to thank them in person for their incredible work

It’s also been amazing to finally meet IRL lots of cool people I had been corresponding with for months on the Fediverse.

The software developers are always all male, few females, thank goodness there is Elena who brings a touch of femininity to Fosdem.

And it’s a wrap for my first #FOSDEM - which was glorious.

It was incredibly inspiring and energizing to hang out and exchange ideas with so many Fediverse champions.

I’m also super grateful for the words of encouragement and nice feedback re: my series #TheFutureIsFederated.

This community is amazing ️

I'm definitely grateful I got to see @[email protected] and @[email protected]'s talks (but also others I forgot to grab their fedi usernames, I'll scour the slides later for those talks), and also attend the BoF room, lots of knowledgeable folks, the future is definitely federated!

Unfortunately I'll miss the event at HSBXL, next year I'll just book a flight later than 9 am ​​
