The so-called "christian conservatives" (CDU/CSU) partnered with the neolibertarians (FDP) and the neonazis (AfD) to push through stuff* in parliament and are now blackmailing the remaining democratic parties, SPD (social democrats) and The Greens.
The CDU leader also now rejects the former "firewall against fascism" in his pursuit of power, fearmongering about "Germany burning".

@Natanox Not everyone of my homelands falling to fascism. LITERALLY ALL OF THEM. The USA where I was born, Italy where I get 1/4 of my heritage, Mongolia where I get 1/4 my heritage, Germany where I get 1/8 my heritage, and Russia where I get 1/8 my heritage.
Also I was literally trying to move there in the next few months. I worked so hard for this and had all my hopes on moving to escape the USA...
Well it still might be better than the USA??? IDK how I am supposed to react to be honest other than just pure anger and anguish.

@ravenofmn I'm so sorryβ¦
"Objectively" and solely right now I'd say Germany would still be preferable as long as you acquire citizenship (not just because of all the EU goodies). However there's no way to say what the future holds right now, there's a good chance the CDU/CSU will to the same their literal predecessor did about a hundred years ago and enable the AfD into powerβ¦
