@feinzer Because 99% of people do *not* want to fiddle around with their devices to get stuff working. If they buy something for hundreds of $Money it's supposed to just work. Meaning that you *don't* have to install some system components. That's why I specifically said "non-techies".
People proficient in tech - especially in the FOSS community - seem to constantly forget that tech has to be accessible and that you shouldn't have to learn *how* stuff works to be able to use it. No offense.

@feinzer Regarding GPS, when I used it on multiple devices (among those some Huawei, a bq Aquaris X Pro and an Acer Z630) the GPS never worked due to missing backend components (Location Provider).
