Oh, no! Director David Lynch has died!
He is a major reason for my lifelong love of movies, after I saw Elephant Man as a kid. A decade later, while a film student, I hustled my way into a job as a PA on the New Orleans on-location set of Wild At Heart. He was incredibly improvisational, sometimes shooting the scene multiple times, recruiting odd bystanders and inserting them into the set.
I only knew him for a minute, a long time ago, but I am really going to miss knowing David Lynch is in the world.David Lynch, visionary filmmaker who specialized in the surreal, dies at 78
