I know some of what David has done. I know some of what Jonathan has done. Both have led harassment campaigns. Both are, imo, racist and transphobic despite their protests otherwise.
I blocked the admins, I've muted the instance and turned off reports, and yet pulling that fediblock plug has been hard. because I don't want to punish the people who call that server home. I don't want to punish the roughly 100 MAU on indiepocalypse.social who have friends or mutuals there. Or the folks who might get mutual aid help from people there.
Even with this latest act by David, I posed the question to indiepocalypse members, seeking their feedback. I still couldn't make the hard decision on my own, damn the consequences.
Again I question if I should even be an admin. I feel like I've failed everyone by waiting this long.

@[email protected] it's a tough decision! And asking members rather than making it unilaterally is a good thing to do.
One thing I'd say is that it's not punishing people on either instance. It is taking an action that makes their lives more inconvenient; if two people want to keep in contact after an instance block, one of them will have to create an account on another instance. But that's a consequence not a punishment -- and a consequence of tech.lgbt leadership's actions as well as yours.
