I'm really appreciating that I'm seeing more transmasculine people of multiple stripes speak up more about their experiences on this site
At the same time the thorough whiteness of it all in this space still leaves me feeling on the margins
There is no separation of my gender and my race. And gender is not a race neutral experience.
Idk watching trans ppl talk about finding greater spaces of acceptance in what I can tell are mainly all white spaces is giving me a very "good for you, I love to see it, but this still has nothing to do with me" feeling.
It's also driving home how the ungendering of Black people, regardless of they're cis or trans, is a bedrock of gender fascism.
(This is my just sharing my observations and thoughts, I'm not asking for any white person to feel bad or pipe down about their experiences or anything like that, and this post isn't an invitation for an extended conversation with a white person about it. Just thinking out loud like I do.)
