@theresnotime no no, it can't work optically
there's ~1mm difference in the distance from the lens to sensor between M42 and Nikon F mount
so no matter how you attach it, it won't be able to ficus to infinity, in some extreme cases focus distance gets reduced to as low as 1-2m away from the camera
β¦ooor you can get an adapter with a corrective glass inside
but that causes other issues
1. corrective lens reduced image quality
2. bad adapters can have that corrective glass come in the way of the glass inside the actual lens -
