@liamvhogan @trib @Kels_316 yep, and they pretty much nailed the assignment: “the new defender looks like shit, so we are going to buy the body tooling off J-LR to keep making the old one but swap out the donk because it’s a bit agricultural, and put in a premium-looking interior because our customers are large, soft, and thirsty”

@liamvhogan @trib @Kels_316 suddenly, holy shit this thing costs like a hundred grand, we better put a few extra bits of plastic in to make it fit into that market segment, which is why the entire cabin ceiling is covered in buttons and switches, and the hazard indicator button is in between two chrome drawer handles with a diagonal stripe pattern behind it

@jpm @liamvhogan @trib @Kels_316 the only other place I've seen that kind of styling is on the Reddit Hotas joystick forums, where everyone's a wannabe A-10 or F-16 pilot. Even real planes don't have that much milbling.
