i think it's enhanced by having seen madoka before, but a very, very long time ago, and in the less refined form that the tv series was. it made the characters' fates weigh heavier, because while i couldn't recall them precisely, it made every bit of foreshadowing echo louder

@hikari (though in Rebellion’s version it seems the ground floor is missing and the upper deck might be ground level? Its really hard to figure out how its situated. Which is quite themactic.)
