IP ban is not working anymore

I don’t think the IP banning option works. We had a bot posting on our forum, so I used the ipban function, but 15 minutes later the same IP was still spamming us.

Does anyone know how this could happen?

We use NodeBB 1.9.2

Extra info:
We tested it and if an IP is blacklisted the IP onlyt can;t make an account, but still can post as guest. So a banned IP can't register an account, but can post as guest.

@mj If you want it now, you need to switch to master branch and git pull, or wait for 1.9.4 to release.

You just create an account at github.com then you can post issues directly at our github issues page.
