[nodebb-plugin-featured-threads] Featuring threads + related widgets
-
Very nice. With the release of this one and this, it's beginning to feel like NodeBB 0.4.0 is about to be released.
-
haha, I think all we have left to do is write the release blog post
-
And while that blog post is being written, it'd be nice to have this site running 0.4.0, with Lavendar showing off the sidebars.
-
This site is running the very latest code, but I don't believe we're as crazy as you are about sidebars
Maybe, since its April 1st... nyancat all over the sidebars?

@psychobunny Is there any way to get this working with a recent nodeBB installation?
The plugin installs just fine, however featuring topics via the Thread Tools menu does not do anything.
Thus the widgets stay empty and do not show up (nodeBB log does not show anything).Imho, together with the custom homepage plugin this would bring nodeBB to be so much more than just a forum. For me this would create the possibility to host an entire community just on nodeBB. No need for a complex blogging or CMS software :>.

I think the most recent one this would be good for is 0.8.x, we since revamped our menu system to lazy load instead so that made this one incompatible. Ping me again if I haven't looked at this by end of next week

Didn't know the existance of this plugin. Found it really interesting. Would have an eye on the update version when it is ready @psychobunny . Think i can modify it for my needs wit a carousell style, and maybe adding the config option to select some category or marking topic as "featured" in the post details and showing the last N of them.
Long story short, very interested on seeing this plugin updated.
