Setup the modules globally and reinstalled NodeBB. Suddenly started working.

We have an infinite loader for posts, so the next "page" loads automatically. That might explain why some posts don't seem to appear for you

As for the drag-drop, that overlay should only appear if you are dragging a file onto the browser window... in what instance is it appearing erroneously?

If I drag a bit of text it sometimes appears. Not fun

Sounds like the infinite loader isn't working correctly for you. Which browser are you using?

I cannot actually read anything past my fifth post in Firefox right now.

I'm currently browsing using Chrome, and the issue is not present.

Will do, from the looks of it you squashed that bug fair and square. Testing on both Ubuntu and Mac OSX don't reveal it happening anymore!
