Is my NodeBB installation correct?

Hi,

i want to ask you guys that my NodeBB installation correctly done or not.I follow the nodebb.pdf
link text and installed NodeBB on Windows Vista.after running using gitshell i got NodeBB page at address http://127.0.0.1:4567/ But that's all nothing more.On this page there are many options e.g: Nodebb plugins, NodeBB development ...etc.If i click any of these options then nothing happens just it says "There are no topics in this category." and also using this page i can Not even log in NodeBB !!! Therefore I am little Confused whether i did it correct or wrong.(BTW, I installed all the required software)

@himadree I'm not seeing an issue, when you ran the setup, you created an admin username and password, in the top right, you can see Register & Login, click Login, enter the admin username and password you created during setup.

You will then be able to post. The categories you are seeing are default categories which can be removed and changed in the Admin Control Panel.

@julian How ? if i write any plugin in local mechin http://127.0.0.1:4567/ then how will this plugin goes to NodeBB ??

@himadree Your plugin doesn't connect to nodebb per se. You'd make your plugin, upload it into something like github, then clone it into your node_modules folder.

When it works, if you want to publish it, you would use npm adduser, create an account through that, then npm publish <plugin name>

@himadree Depends what plugin you want to create, but this is the official documentation - https://docs.nodebb.org/en/latest/plugins/create.html
