Using wordpress with nodebb and login and comment

As far as I know, the code for blog comments has been reworked, and should be working fine for Wordpress

Why hasn't there been made a plugin for this? Instead of still needing to put manually code changes in?

@Wilco there has been. You can use the WordPress SSO plugin now, or the sso-oauth2-multiple plugin.

And does this plugin also handle the:

• Create topic on post
• Comments on post

Or do you still need to add extra code for that? Because specificly this is something that for example Discourse handles for you in their plugin. Also adding UI options within your post sidebar.

@Wilco no, but given your requirements it might be easier to install the WordPress ActivityPub plugin, and use NodeBB v4, which will be entering alpha phase soon.

Then commenting to and from WordPress could be supported via ActivityPub

That sounds interesting. Never heard of ActivityPub till now. The promise seems interesting.

I know this is always difficult to say, but any idea when v4 will be entering a RC state?

@Wilco should be fine, yes. The integration is built so that it can be disabled if desired.
