@north effectively speaking Mastodon is a Protocol, because when implementing an AP Server you'll be stuck reading Mastodon's code to figure out what they're doing to keep compatibilityof course mastodon doesn't wanna say they're a protocol, despite the fact they've clearly made enough decisions that it'd require such documentation That said, because Mastodon itself refuses to acknowledge this, they dont have any documentation of the kind you're looking for. I doubt there's any third-party docs either, but I'm open to be proven wrong there
