Is it at all possible to collaborate on a project hosted on #github via #gitea or #forgejo?

I'd like to contribute to a long-running #foss project, but I would like to not have to have a GitHub account - rather I'd like to work from my fork within gitea.

I'm guessing this is not possible.

I switched to opensearch from es and there was no appreciable difference to the memory it will consume. It's the same thing different license basically.
