@julian documentation is not even clear on how to use the plugin is there any tutorial on how to import the wordpress post to nodebb

So you'd need to figure out a way to merge both imports.

hmmm so I assume it will be harder to merge the two since this two are different platform, I think I need to merge first my discourse topics going to wordpress then wordpress > nodedb.

@frissdiegurke my account is newly created, so I haven't tweak any of the settings upon creating this post. but now I saw the settings and as a default it's not checked on the follow post created. I have checked it now

I wish I can easily press CTRL + ENTER to submit post LOL! rather clicking SUBMIT button

how about for linode? looking forward also for that feature or any script to make it easier to install nodebb

@julian do you need the actual backup.tar.gz file from discourse where can I send it?

@julian I have my own server right now and my site is not yet that big for me to hire an "Expert" so does it mean there is no written plugin yet available in public right now for discourse to nodeBB?

hmm weird I was waiting for a notifications for the reply on this thread which is by default I will not receive any notification even though I am the creator of the thread I need to click the watch icon just to have notification.

not sure if that's how it works , I think it's better to set to subscribe by default if I am the author of the topic so I can easily check some updates.

@AOKP so far what I only found is the plugin for wordpress > nodebb which is located here https://github.com/a5mith/nodebb-plugin-import-wordpress but for discourse your are right I can't seem to find any importers plugin so far

@Kowlin I might check it once I have got all the needed information so that I can fully migrate my site to nodeBB

here's some small addition to what I want to see for nodebb that I liked from discourse.

• keyboard shortcut for the text editor (its faster to use keybord shortcuts)
• link clikcs number showing (this is somehow very important to if people do really show interest on my post and it also adds attraction to the post and curiousity)
• highlight quote (discourse does have this hopng to see it also here or in a plugin)
• search realtime results when typing
• image does not show in a lightbox

although I am not sure if this has already been implemnted here on nodebb via plugin or core features

so far those are the things I think missing as far as I used the discourse for a couple of months and now migrating to nodebb

Hello, I just saw the features of the NodeBB and totally I was blown away! and the things I was looking from discourse is all available here and with added features
this was the features I liked in the NodeBB

• Google Adsense
• Homepage Customization
• Live chat
• Way better simplier UI
• much faster

Now I want to use NodeBB as my primary platform for my website here is my scenario right now.

my main domain is using the wordpress platform and the forum (discourse) is located on my subdomain.

what I want todo now is migrate all my wordpress and discourse post to NodeBB, is that possible?

so that I can now use NodeBB on my main domain so I will not have separate platform for my website. I decided on this since I find all the features I need as a community site all available in NodeBB and it's still extensible
