Extend markdown parserI agree, it's too limited when you are doing a big post.
Sometimes I miss to be able to use some html tags like <h1> hello </h1> in the middle of a line.

In page Composer, is it possible?Agree in android it more or less works fine with opera, but it doesnt work with the native browsers that i have tested.

Be able to flag your own post@Jacob-Moen said:
In my experience, people will abuse that option to get moderators to answer their question. I already seen it happen too many times elsewhere.
If nothing else, it is a sure-fire way of pissing off over-worked moderators, and could even get you bannedIf that happens they should be educated, I guess we are talking about very different kinds of forums.. where I am it's just entertainment so it's not weird that they mistake the sub or something.
@Kowlin said:
@a_5mith @Arc This is correct, why just don't drop a chat message to any member that has moderate privileges. Besides there is this current thing about the flagging system that wasn't 100% planned in my opinion, and that is that users with the moderate privilege can't see the reason that a topic is flagged for.
Now you can say the reason why has been flagged, that's why I'm proposing this now.. otherwise would be a imposible to find out what that auto-flag means.

@Pixel I'm- a little worried by the prospect of the flag button becoming a "call flight attendant" button.
Maybe but that depends on the moderator, whether he is a "call flight attendant" or not. If you flag your own post in a forum about smartphones and ask the mod "Hi, can you help me to unbrick my mobile phone" that must be ignored.
Another example, if it's a forum about DIY you ask whatever question through PM to the mod/staff that mod/staff must avoid it and try to speak in public...
But all those things I believe that should be solve by educating (a.k.a. ignoring wrong ways of communication) the users, not avoiding new channels of communications (like auto flag)

Be able to flag your own postI think we should be able to flag our own post, specially since we can write the purpose to the admin.
Sometimes there is a problem that we can't solve (like that we had mistaken the subcategory) and we need a moderator. In those cases it's easier flag it than looking for a moderator online.

@Pixel check for anything that's still loading
How can I see that? I thought it was the screenshot that I post in the previous post.. but I don't see anything "loading" in that screenshot

@exodo any reason you want a option to disable it?
Maybe not a disable, but instead make a max participant value. If the forum admin sets it to 2, then it would be no different than now.
I really want the feature. I cannot count the number of times I have had a chat going and then had to either backfire things to another person, or take it to another medium (Skype/hangouts) in order to get a group chat going.
This would be still better, if it's set to 2 is a chat. If you have some kind of trouble you can try adjusting the value to 6, 5, 4, 3... or eventually 1.

@Pixel I have seen it happen. I use Chrome on a Mac. Checked the network tab in chrome inspector and the issue is with the Roboto font. It just keeps waiting for the font to load from gstatic.com
Mmm? I got this but I don't understand it xD Is it the same issue?

./nodebb stop
npm install
npm up
git fetch
git checkout origin/master
git merge origin/master
git pull
./nodebb upgrade
./nodebb startBut the problem is with this very forum. I don't know why, I just wanted to know if I am the only one because is it happening from 1-2 months (I used the same computer with FF and I didn't had any problem here)

Bug in community?@yariplus I use two, I have to admit that currently I'm using "waterfox" which is a fork compiled in 64 bits. But I check the bug in the standard FF 32 bits for windows

Group Chat Changes@Kowlin For example it's easier to create a private chat with a group of 15 people and downvote whoever says something that we don't like. Or they can also spoil a topic... There are people with too much imagination, believe me xD

Try clearing your cache etc. Could be an old bug that's been fixed but you're still running an old cached version, any particular pages that do it?
Does it fix itself after a refresh?
It does all the time, for example I had to refresh this webpage. Yes, it always gets fixed after a refresh, that's why it doesn't bother too much I only have to press F5 each time that gets frozen.
I'm going to clear cache + cookies, if it happens again I would post here.
EDIT: yes, it still freezes
I looked in the console to see if there was something important, the last line said "
TypeError: can't convert undefined to object

Notification grouping now on master branch...@julian said:
@alberto__segura offhand, I do not know if those services support changing a notification if it had already gone out.
That'd be best...
I used the telegram plugin and it's true that I was receiving too many notifications.
Perhaps if the forum will send 2 variables it will be easier for the plugin to cull the notifications to avoid sending too many. For example: one variable might say the type of notification (if it's a mention, a message favourited, new answer, etc. ) and another variable might say if there is another mention, message favourited or new answer that haven't been read in that post. (@alberto__segura may that works?)
After all, from what I've seen (as a user) is that little things is what makes people think that nodebb has hundreds of differences with other platforms.

Notification grouping now on master branch...@julian said:
I initially wanted to group them as they were created, although it is difficult given that each individual notification can be shared with other users.
It gets complicated in situations like:
- Notification: User replied to topic
- Notification pushed to 4 users
- 2 of those users read that notification
- A different user replied to that topic
Now, what happens here? Do we modify the existing notification object? If we do, then the two users who read the notification already will receive a notification with incorrect data (that is, it will say two users replied to a topic, when it should say 1).
In hindsight, it might actually be better to keep notifications granular, and have each individual client handle duplication separately...
Out of curiousity (I am actually just a user of nodebb, not deverloper or anything), but then.. how is it work if they use the forum?
Example: UserA, UserB, UserC and UserD are following a topic.
- UserX writes a new reply, a notifications is sent to A, B, C and D.
- A and B enter to the forum, A reads the notification and mark it as read. B doesn't mark it as read neither read the new reply.
- A UserY writes a new reply.
What does the forum then? B, C, D should receive a notification as "two new replies" while A should receive a notification as "one new reply".
By the way, perhaps a simple solution is saying: "There are new messages in X topic" and until that the user doesn't mark as "read" the notification, he won't be notificated again.

What are you doing *right now*?In this very moment I am writing this message and I have planned to press "composer.submit" as soon as I finish.

[nodebb-plugin-iframely] IFramely EmbedsThank you! It's very useful to be able to insert a lot of things.
Sometimes I miss to be able to use it as we do for images:
![](http://www.somevideo.com)
gots embed andwww.somevideo.com
is just a link.Because sometimes you feel that if you embed so many things in one post, the people who browser from the mobile or old computer aren't going to be able to see it properly.

NodeBB Android AppIt seems that the link to the apk doesn't work.
By the way, it is made so that in a future any nodebb forum will be able to be used from the app?
Thank you -
Topic sorting@Nicolas Do you mean like what is now, but including the first post in the sorting, dont you?
