Person is now at a minimum temporarily blind (from looking at the blast). They need to duck before the pressure wave throws broken glass at their face. They are probably far enough away to survive temporarily, but perhap not long term depending on the payload. The blast is white, not brown, indicating a state actor rather than a dirty bomb or terrorist attack. The blast hit the ground, and so is not an airburst, this is a show of force rather than done to do maximum damage (suggests lower yield). Get up, clear debris from yourself, grab food from fridge, move it to the center of the structure or place that was least impacted. Grab least dusty containers. Fill with as much tap water as you can, the water from any taps still working. For a short period of time tap water will still be viable because it's from the metal pipes underground and so probably not irradiated/contaminated. Grab some clothing that can be sealed, a radio/torch, some tape and material to seal under doorways, and perhaps a deck of cards, games, or books. Collapse in your sheltered area, this is where you stay for the next three days. Radiation has a half life, your enemy is now the dust. Minimize contact with it by having "outside shelter clothing and "inside shelter" clothing. Keep the dust from going in your mouth/nose. At first it won't matter too much but in the few days after the blast fall out will come, it will depend on wind/weather patterns. Avoid fall out. Listen to the radio, if there is none, try to hold tight for at least a week. Help is coming, do not lose hope. P.S Long term goals (after the first week), water catchment/distillation, and to try your car. The emp will likely have fried the fuses/battery, but it's worth a shot. If it's an older car it might even be worth replacing them and trying again. If hope does not seem like it's on its way, extremely long term goals; digging for good soil (the top soil and dust will no longer be viable) for future crop planting. Starvation, disease, and famine will be the next killers. Digging a few meters down and growing plants to munch on inside the house or another structure will be your best option. Hunting stray animals may also have to be done.
