@njion If you're logging in at your home institution (i.e. The one your credentials are from) nobody else is involved; the eduroam confederation only gets involved if you visit another institution. The only way it's not "normal" WiFi is that it uses WPA-Enterprise instead of WPA-Personal.eduroam worked perfectly at my uni FWIW
