I was considering talking about how AlekSIS uses a combination of a non-profit and a for-profit to flexibly handle funding, lower the risk and ensure social security of developers paid through NGI0.

Would that be a "unique perspective" or would it rather qualify as "self-promotional"?

Auf welche Drogen und welche Delikte beziehen sich diese Zahlen? Das meiste davon wird vorher illegaler Handel mit Cannabis sein. Das zu bewerten, ist aber Quatsch, ähnlich wie Klauen zu legalisieren und sich dann über weniger Eigentumsdelikte zu freuen.

Sind auch Delikte mit anderen, gefährlicheren Drogen signifikant zurückgegangen durch die legale Verfügbarkeit von Cannabis?

@evan Thanks for keeping clarifying these things over and over again. I am myself somewhat tired of (knowledgeable) people not recognizing a corporate walled garden when they see one.

@dansup @vidzy Good idea. Poor backend code quality and lack of essential features like OIDC login is another major blocker for getting our young community into Pixelfed or Loops. If that could be solved, that would be awesome!

Once you put something up, let me know the content IDs and I will pin them to my nodes for improved deniability ;).

@pixelfed I will happily donate and make my organisations donate once there is a clear policy that all code of all platforms is free and open source software without exceptions. I don't fund closed source or open core projects.

I found a few bad practices promoted by this tutorial, though. The most relevant are using Visual Studio Code, and the second embedding YouTube videos directly.

Both can easily be fixed, the first by pointing people to https://vscodium.com/ instead and the latter by showing how to embed uploaded video files instead of YouTube iframes.

The difference is the third letter – I vs. L.

An IRI (or URI), in contrast to a UR**L**, does **not** need to be a concrete HTTP address on the public web that can directly be loaded from a web server.

Basically, what you refer to as a URL (which, for the current state of the Fediverse, mostly is the same because virtually all IRIs of ActivityPub contents are URLs today).

But actually, ActivityPub content has an IRI, which does not have to be a URL, not even today: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internationalized_Resource_Identifier
