@vwbusguy come to think of it, I don't think I ever really understood the difference between a hard- and soft-link. Looking online, I see there is a technical difference... but is there a practical one?

@vwbusguy That particular video was about 30 minutes long. But I've also been stuck in a 30 second ad for a 100 second Blender tutorial. Different video, same hell.

@vwbusguy I must assume there is a regional thing going on on Youtube because while ads on Twitch are annoying and (to my knowledge) unblockable, the last time I turned off my Adblocker on Youtube, I legitimately sat there for minutes before the video rolled and before I knew it, the little bit of actual video I saw was interrupted again by another ad.
